Adventure Aquarium Sleepover

Sharks in the Dark! 

Join Pack 44 & the Center for Aquatic Sciences at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ for an overnight adventure! 

Explore the Aquarium’s amazing shark collection, sea turtles, stingrays, and various fish species. Spend the night sleeping up close near one of the aquarium exhibits and then explore the African penguins and hippos the following morning!

Overnight adventures include:

A guided tour of Adventure Aquarium exhibits.

Visit to the Touch Tanks

Guided, behind-the-scenes visit to the top of the Ocean Realm tank

Sleeping space near the exhibits

Souvenir patch

Light evening snack and continental breakfast

The program ends at 9am the next morning, but you are welcome to stay the day and explore the Aquarium, including the Shark Bridge, Hippo Haven, the African Penguin exhibit & gift shop.

When: 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023 until 9:00 am Sunday, November 5, 2023

Cost: $80 per person - minimum participant age is 6 years. Program is ideal for ages 6-12, but older children are welcome to attend. Scouts must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

What to bring: Sleeping gear (sleeping bag, foam pad, pillow), toothbrush/toothpaste, reusable water bottle (refilling stations provided), money for souvenirs, flashlight for adult use only, dress in warm comfortable clothing & shoes. Sleep masks & ear plugs are also recommended for adults.

Adventure Aquarium recommends participants dress in layers and wear clothing that is comfortable enough to sleep in. They cannot guarantee that participants will have the opportunity to change in private and the aquarium's temperature can verify overnight. 

What NOT to bring: Food & drinks other than water (please eat dinner prior to arrival), cots or folding chairs, any air mattress or sleeping pad larger than twin sized (per aquarium safety regulations they must be twin sized or smaller), electronics other than cell phones, balloons or toys, & hair dryers/curling irons
