Lion Program
The Lion program was added a few years ago to Cub Scouts to allow Kindergarten boys to start exploring Scouting (and Pack 44 was a Warwick pilot site for the new program when it came out). The Lion program weaves traditional Scouting concepts of character development, leadership skills, personal fitness and citizenship into activities that are age-appropriate and fun for the boys and their parents. At the end of the Lion year, they “graduate” to Tiger and advance through Cub Scouting.
Our Lion Cub program has exciting indoor and outdoor activities specifically designed for kindergarten boys and their adult partner. Lions will experience a "reduced" scout meeting schedule only meeting twice a month - one normal "den" meeting and one "adventure" meeting.
Families can sign up via the Pack 44 online sign up form and can start participating in Pack activities in August. Official Lion meetings typically start mid-September.
