Hammock Camping

Background

In recent years the use of Hammocks has really taken off among campers and backpackers due to the following reasons:

  • They have an incredibly small pack-able size

  • They are typically very easy to set up

  • When used correctly, they provide an excellent night's sleep (especially when compared to sleeping on the ground!)

  • They can be used many places where tents typically cannot (slopes, rocky terrain, wet areas, etc)

  • They Leave No Trace (especially when used with tree straps)

Hammocks have recently become very popular with many Pack 44 families, and so we're listing some resources that may prove to be helpful to others. Enjoy!
