Blue and Gold speech

posted May 21, 2015, 4:09 AM by Timothy Prouse

I am deeply sorry I couldn't be there to celebrate the pack achievements and the WEBELOS 2 advancement to Boy Scouts. I was asked to talk about some of the pack’s achievements this year. The one big thing that comes to my mind is how the pack had grown in numbers. It is exciting to hear that we’ve grown to where we have two patrols in the WEBELOS 1 and two dens in the Wolves.  Another big accomplishment was breaking the record for popcorn selling for the district. The Pack sold over $33,000 in popcorn and that couldn’t have been done without everyone’s hard work. There's been a ton more accomplishment this year than ever before, but those are the top ones. I want to thank everyone for helping make Pack 44 what it is today. I am very pleased to be the Cubmaster of this Pack.

Now on to the Webelos 2, I would like to say how proud I am of these boys. I got to see these boys come up for two years now and they blew my expectations away. Half the time I forgot we had a Webelos 2 den because these boys where very well behaved and so quiet. If I needed help with anything I knew I could always turn to them. Patrick and Suzanne, I would like to say thanks to you two as well. Without all the countless hours of planning these boys would not be where they are today. I never had to worry about what your den was up to.  I just knew everything was going smoothly and that was a big relief. I cannot thank you guys enough and you two will be missed.

Dear Pack 44,

When I first saw how much popcorn was sold my jaw dropped.  I am very proud of each and every one of you for breaking the popcorn sale record.  Breaking the record was not an easy task and it couldn’t have been done without all of your hard work.  Next year I hope we break the record again.  I am very proud to be the cubmaster of Pack 44 and this shows that Pack 44 is the best pack in Lititz.  Since you guys did such a great job Myself and Mr Spead have a very special award for the whole pack but I’ll let him tell you about it.  I hope everyone has a great night and hold your heads up high and remember Pack 44 is the best Pack in Lititz.

Hi Parents,

Let me start by saying how great it is to be the Pack 44 Cubmaster. Seeing the scouts grow and earn new awards makes me very proud of this pack. I want to say thank you to those who have stepped up to volunteer for leadership positions.  If you would like to help please let myself or Ben know.

On May 17th we will be doing our annual VFW Memorial Project. Start time is 9 am. We will be weeding, mulching, and planting flowers. On May 20th we will be having our end of the year pack meeting and picnic. The meeting starts at 6 pm and there will be food. On May 26th we will be participating in the Lititz Memorial Day parade. We will be meeting at 10:30 am on the sidewalk between Tim's Gym and Wilber Chocolate Factory. For more information on the events please see the event pages on the webpage.

Last I would like to say how awesome the camporee was. I know the boys had a ton of fun and i think the parents did too. Even though it rained most of the afternoon there was an awesome light show to end the day.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to email me at cubmaster@Pack44Lititz.org.

Hi and welcome to the first Cubmaster blog.  I just want to say how awesome it is to be the cubmaster for Pack 44. Couple of things is for parents who don't know there are a lot of belt loops you can earn on your own. Visit this page for more information on this. Next thing is I want to talk about is the Camporee. The day for Cub Scouts will be May 3rd. Webelos 2 may go with Boy Scouts for the whole weekend. The Camporee sounds like a lot of fun this year and I hope we have a good turn out from our pack. See the STEM Camporee page for more information and to sign up. Last thing I would like to talk about is parent involvement. We have many open spots open on the committee. If your are willing to help we have a spot for you. Like always if you would like to help or have any questions please feel free to email me at cubmaster@Pack44Lititz.org.
